The Technology Strategy Board has announced the name for the elite network of technology and innovation centres which it is establishing. Catapult centres will help to drive economic growth by closing the gap between concept and commercialisation and enhance innovation in specific technology areas for years to come.

Technology Innovation Centre open for business 

At the recent Innovate 11 event in London Business Secretary Vince Cable declared the Government’s first elite technology innovation centre open for business, on the same day that the Department for Business, Innovation and Science (BIS) confirmed that over £140m would be invested in the centre over the next six years.

CPI’s OLED/OPV Protoyping Line 

CPI’s new large area coating line has been designed to enable the development and prototyping of both organic light emitting diodes and organic photovoltaic technology. It is suitable for processing both air sensitive and non air sensitive material sets for the production of devices on a range of substrate sizes up to 200mm square.
