Through the scheme businesses will now be able to work with CPI to deliver a specific, strategic innovation project. CPI will help businesses develop their initial concept into a proposition for the scheme and, once successful, will recruit a skilled graduate to work between the business and CPI

Through the mechanism Companies will have access to the knowledge and facilities at CPI to help bring new products and services to market faster and with less risk and cost. The KTP project can last between 12 and 36 months, depending on the scope of the proposal and the needs of the participating business.

CPI can offer Knowledge Transfer Partnerships in the following subject areas:

  • Formulations and characterisation of wide range of materials (powders, solids, gels and liquids)

  • Sensors
  • Printable electronics
  • Scale-up of chemical, biological and pharmaceutical process manufacturing
  • Process development of upstream and downstream biological processes
