CPI celebrates 20 years in the North East of England and Scotland by volunteering across the region
24 Sept 2024
Hundreds of CPI staff celebrated the company’s 20th anniversary by volunteering at local charities across the region.
Staff were invited to give up part of their working week to support charities in the local area.
Activities included helping clean up the beach at Redcar, packing food boxes at Feeding Families as well as painting and decorating rooms at St Cuthbert’s Hospice and sponsored walk along Hadrian’s Wall.
Having grown from a handful staff to over 700 employees in the past 20 years, CPI took the chance to give back to the communities where the company was founded.
It comes after CPI released figures earlier this year which highlighted a £3bn contribution to the UK economy since its inception.
Frank Millar, chief executive at CPI said:
“One of the things we wanted to do as part of our 20th anniversary celebrations is acknowledge the places and the communities we’re part of.
“The Tees Valley, and the North East will always be a huge part of CPI’s story and I’m so proud of the staff and everyone who volunteered to help some great causes over the last few days.
“I look forward to seeing what the future holds and I’m confident that the work we’re doing to develop innovative technologies and attract business to the region will continue to positively impact our communities.”
