Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policy

Our commitment to a sustainable future

At CPI, we recognise our responsibility to create positive impacts on both society and the environment. Our ESG Policy Statement reflects our commitment to sustainable practices, transparency, and ethical conduct.

We firmly believe that sustainable development is not just a choice, it’s our compass. It aligns with our core values and drives our decision-making. We will integrate sustainability into every aspect of our business. Focusing on our core pillars of People, Planet and Partnerships.

People

We will support, empower and build thriving communities by:

  • Prioritising employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion.
  • Helping to raise aspirations through dedicated STEM outreach and developing our people.
  • Supporting our local communities, to improve economic, societal and environmental outcomes.

Planet

We are committed to protecting the environment and helping to reduce global warming to below 1.5℃ by:

  • Decarbonising CPI’s owned facilities to become Net Zero by 2035.
  • Embedding a sustainable Supply Chain that upholds CPI’s environmental and societal values.
  • Aligning business practices with recognised Sustainability standards to ensure best practices.

Partnerships

We will collaborate with our partners to develop innovative solutions that solve some of the greatest global challenges by:

  • Working with partners on projects which have the potential to revolutionise the environmental and societal landscape.
  • Aligning our Project Portfolio with CPI’s Environmental and Societal values.
  • Supporting a diverse and inclusive innovation ecosystem, recognising and removing barriers to entry.

Governance

All of the above will be underpinned by effective Governance:

  • We are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards, preventing bribery, and cultivating a culture of integrity, honesty, and accountability. We take a zero-tolerance approach to corruption.
  • We firmly oppose and stand against any violation of human rights and are committed to upholding and honouring internationally recognised human rights laws and practices.
  • We are dedicated to promoting fair labour. We will actively ensure that CPI, project partners, and our supply chain adhere to equitable working conditions and do not engage in any form of modern slavery.
  • We will have Board/CEO level oversight and accountability of Sustainability targets and support the implementation of CPI’s ESG Framework, Roadmap and associated policies and procedures.
  • We will incorporate climate-related risks into CPI’s Business Model and decision-making process.
