Smart Manufacturing Data Hub Lighthouse Launch

We invite you to our Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre on Tuesday 14th January 2025 to join our Smart Manufacturing Data Hub Lighthouse Launch.

CPI’s MMIC facility has been designated a Lighthouse centre by Made Smarter’s Smart Manufacturing Data Hub. The aim of CPI’s Made Smarter grant funded project is to set the direction and enable SMEs to digitally transform their data infrastructure. In order to meet the speed and compliance needs of the future pharma industry we need to digitalise. CPI have delivered a best-practice infrastructure at the MMIC by:

• Implementing a cloud-based industrial data platform which collates data from across the facility and our manufacturing processes, making it readily available for internal use and visualisation, and providing the capability for external data sharing.
• Delivering a demonstrator of our industrial data platform in use, focussed on the pharmaceutical and life science sector but widely applicable to all process manufacturing.

During our event on 14th January, CPI’s digital experts will present on a range of topics including the business advantages of digitalisation, best practices for implementation including standards and data architecture, compliance and cybersecurity considerations, and leveraging our direct experience at the MMIC to discuss practical challenges and solutions. We will also offer a tour of our manufacturing facility, showcase our digital experience centre, and provide opportunity for networking after the event.

CPI’s Lighthouse project is also aligned with the objectives of our Digital Membership programme. To determine how collaborative innovation can drive our pace in this area we will focus on driving standards (across data and systems) and robust implementation of new technology in both greenfield and brownfield sites, along with how we best share data in a secure way to drive process-prediction and sustainability outcomes.

In our Digital Membership we’re uniting our Pharma, Technology and Delivery partners to standardise and, through effective use of data and systems connectivity, expedite uptake of smart, connected technologies such as machine learning, AI, and robotics. Our Smart Manufacturing Data Hub Lighthouse Launch event is open to both our existing Digital Membership community, and non-member SMEs and organisations in the wider manufacturing sector. Working towards pharma industry 4.0 we will improve patient outcomes, increase sustainability and flexibility, and reduce costs. Our Digital Membership is an open community and

there will be opportunities to learn and network with our Digital memberships members with experts from pharmaceutical and technology industries, as well as discuss joining the membership with the CPI team.

Attendance at the event will be free of charge. Please note that the event will be hosted in-person only, however we intend to film the day and share as a webinar at a later date.
